Rutgers Day Celebration Held Across New Brunswick-Piscataway Campuses

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–Rutgers Day is being celebrated today. This fifth annual event, a festival involving the College Avenue, Cook/Douglass, and Busch campuses, also includes much older traditions including the New Jersey Folk Festival, and Cook College’s Ag Field Day.

The three campuses involved – Busch, College Avenue, and Cook/Douglass – each have their own specialties or "themes".

City Residents Tell Stories to Win Prize at Free Crossroads Event

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Tonight, eight local residents will compete for title of Grand Slam Champion at the Crossroads Theatre, on the corner of George Street and Livingston Avenue.

Free for those who attend, the show starts at 7pm tonight on Saturday, April 26.

Residents Carla Ulbrich, Pedro Serrano, Dean Rogers, David Harris, Dusty Ballard, JUDY, and artist Sam Romero have all been selected to tell their own New Brunswick story.

Audience members will also have a chance to participate.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ-Frente a una inconsistencia en el registro público, funcionarios de la ciudad admitieron el viernes que un oficial de policía que disparó y mató a Barry DeLoatch, un residente de la ciudad desarmado de 47 años de edad en septiembre del 2011, se mantuvo en nómina durante 15 meses antes de que su renuncia entrara en vigor.

El viernes, la nueva portavoz de la ciudad Jennifer Bradshaw respondió a preguntas interminables sobre la fecha de renuncia del ex policía de la ciudad Brad Berdel.
