NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ— Today there will be free family activities plus special performances and workshops at various downtown venues including the State Theatre, Crossroads Theatre, George Street Playhouse, United Methodist Church.

There will also be a heated tent set up in front of the State Theatre (15 Livingston Ave) known as the “Hub City Big Top,” where families can enjoy free balloon animals, face painting, games, music, and more!

Tickets for performances including Hub City Spectacular by Big Apple Circus are $15 and are available for purchase online or by calling the State Theatre (732) 246-7469.

For information on the free dance and music shows at the Crossroads Theatre (7 Livingston Ave) on Family Day, call (732) 545-8100.

United Methodist Church (323 George Street) will also host a free presentation on animals and their habitats with the Turtleback Zoo.

“Family Day is still scheduled for Monday as of right now. The weather report is not calling for snow, so things are looking good,” says Kelly Blithe, Director of Public Relations at the State Theatre.

“If anything should change, we will update our web page [and]… we will contact all ticketed patrons via email and phone.”
