NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—City public schools will be closed on Wednesday for the second day this week due to inclement weather.

A mix of various precipitation is expected to descend on New Brunswick tonight, and apparently the forecast was concerning enough to cause the district to close once again.

“Due to the Governor calling a state of emergency, the New Brunswick Public Schools will be closed tomorrow February 5th, 2014,” read an alert sent over the city’s Nixle emergency alert system at 9:37pm tonight.

This marks the fourth snow day for the city school district since the New Year.  A Board of Education meeting scheduled for January 22 was also delayed one week.

Weather.com is calling for “a mix of rain and freezing rain early… changing to all rain in the afternoon.”
