NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Tonight at The Old Bay restaurant, the Northern New Jersey blues and rock trio called Only Living Boy will be making a stop to rock New Brunswick. The music kicks off at 10pm at 61 Church Street.

Only Living Boy (OLB) is comprised of singer and guitarist Joe Cirotti, bassist Eric Curley, and drummer Trevor Newcomb.  Formed in 2008, the band has received accolades and positive reviews for their studio recordings and raw, unapologetic, and in-your-face live performances.

The band just released their fourth studio effort, an EP titled, “Cool Collected Headcase,” which features five new tracks.

They have also played countless venues around the country, including Austin, Texas’ famous South by Southwest Festival, and on the website Daytrotter, which features live sessions from up and coming bands.

Although the band is named after the reknowned Simon and Garfunkel song, “Only Living Boy In New York,” which makes many subtle and quiet references to conflict, OLB chooses to take a much more aggressive approach, and spill out the guts of their music in every song.

Their specific genre is tough to pin down, and has been described as more of a “rock stew” rather than any one particular style.

An eclectic mix of influences are listed on the band’s website that include Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, and The Parlor Mob.
