NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Tomorrow, Gov. Chris Christie is expected to join officials from the city government, Rutgers University, and the New Brunswick Development Corporation (DEVCO) to celebrate the groundbreaking on a slew of university development projects.

The event will take place on Seminary Place at noon on Thursday September 19, according to the Governor’s public schedule.

The development project will include several new buildings, including an honors college, classroom space, and housing for nearly 1,000 students.  The buildings will replace the 225-year-old campus of New Brunswick Theological Seminary and a parking lot most famous for hosting the famous “grease trucks.”

The Seminary will move into a new building under construction on College Avenue.
