NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On June 18, a 50-year-old city resident named Sherri Jennings was arrested after police arrived to find two other women giving chase, who later accused the suspect of the burglarizing their vehicle.

Police engaged the suspecd in a brief footchase before capturing her on Condict Street at approximately 11:30 pm.  The suspect initially resisted attempts by police to arrest her and scratched one of the responding officers, Sgt. Ann Chapman, in the face.

The suspect was eventually subdued and later found to have in her possession the property belonging to the victim and taken from the car as witnessed by the victim.
