NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Using cell phone records, police have charged a New Brunswick man in connection with the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver last November.

Parysh Wood, 21, who also goes by nicknames “Pistol” and “P-Gun,” was charged while in Middlesex County Jail, where he was already incarcerated for other armed robbery cases involving pizza delivery drivers, according to Sgt. Jim Ryan of the South Brunswick Police Department.

The robbery in question occurred at 9:30 p.m. on November 30, in a parking lot at Quincy Circle in the Dayton section of South Brunswick.  The victim said an armed man approached him and demanded both his money and his pizza.

South Brunswick police, in conjunction with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, obtained information from Wood’s cell phone use that linked him to the time and place of the crime.

Chief Raymond Hayducka told Patch.com, “This case was solved four months after the crime because investigators did not give up.”

“In this digital age many criminals leave a footprint, which we just need to find,” Hayducka said, according to the report.

In January, Wood – along with Justina Hampton, 19, of North Brunswick – was arrested in connection with additional armed robberies of pizza delivery drivers.  Wood remains in county jail, being held on $100,000 bail.

Sgt. Ryan expects there will be more arrests to come in this ongoing investigation.
