NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A city man allegedly pilfered 2,124 bottles of perfume from a Holmdel business on Friday, according to a report on Patch.com.

Authorities said that Juan Bernal, 52, enlisted the help of a 17-year-old to pack the perfume stolen from the Holmdel facility into a black Honda Passport parked nearby, according to the report.

Bernal is accused of taking 1,890 bottles of 5th Avenue by Elizabeth Arden and 234 bottles of Victoria’s Secret Live Pink from Cosmetic Essence Innovations, valued at $109,620 and $7,488 respectively.

Authorities say Bernal has been sent to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $100,000 bail – without no 10% option to post.
